Bionic Systems
Big problems aren't exclusive to big companies.
Good technology shouldn't be either.
Bionic Systems puts serious technology within reach of businesses that traditional consulting economics do not serve well. We study businesses, uncover real problems, identify where technology can create meaningful improvement to how businesses look, work and deliver...then we design the solution and build the working prototype, at $0 cost.
And all of that happens before we even introduce ourselves.
Our workWe find what’s getting in the way. Then we make it go away.
Explore the websites, applications, systems and working prototypes we’ve created to solve real operational problems. The work spans production systems, applied AI, automation, cybersecurity, service transformation and internal R&D… evidence of what Bionic can actually design and build.

The case study presents the supporting software, integrations and operating capabilities as a completed implementation. The public booking flow and client-portal entry are demonstrations. Benefits are qualitative, rather than measured results.
CELECT helps commercial property owners, developers and construction teams deliver technology and security projects across new construction, retrofits and complex operating environments. Its digital presence needed to support the whole relationship: understanding technical fit, evaluating the supplier, starting a productive conversation and continuing through delivery.
Problem
The original website communicated CELECT’s expertise, leadership and contact details, but largely left visitors to turn that information into a buying decision themselves. Broad service descriptions and contact prompts offered limited help with supplier evaluation or the steps after an initial enquiry. The opportunity was to reduce the effort between recognising a fit and making contact, then connect that conversation to a repeatable internal process.
What we discovered
Three connected gaps shaped the work: expertise needed a clearer buying journey, credibility needed to support procurement, and customer actions needed continuity inside the business.
- Help prospective customers relate CELECT’s capabilities to their project, understand its role and find the right next step.
- Give buyers usable supplier information and a clear route to supporting documents.
- Carry the information captured in bookings and document requests into ownership, follow-up and service delivery.
What people see
The new experience is organised around understanding the offer, assessing credibility, taking action and continuing the relationship.
- Clear service pillars, project environments and technology-system categories make the offer easier to scan and assess.
- Dedicated credentials and procurement information support supplier evaluation as part of the customer journey.
- A consolidated compliance-packet request captures organisation type and contact details, providing one place to request supporting material.
- An on-site discovery-call demonstration lets visitors explore date, time and contact selection.
- Prominent booking actions sit alongside email and telephone so customers can choose their contact route.
- Clearer approach, leadership and contact sections connect technical capability with the people delivering it.
- A client-portal entry demonstrates the route toward continuing engagement beyond the initial sales conversation.
What changed underneath
The supporting platform connects customer interactions to the information and processes CELECT uses to respond. A procurement request carries buyer context into a customer record, triggers the appropriate response and assigns responsibility for the next action.
- A modern application architecture and maintainable codebase provide a common foundation for the public website, interactive flows and client experience.
- Structured data and content administration manage service information, credentials, documents, enquiries and customer records consistently.
- Customer relationship management (CRM) integration connects customer and sales records, giving booking and procurement enquiries context, ownership and follow-up status.
- Scheduling and communication integrations support appointment coordination, confirmations and reminders.
- Workflow automation routes enquiries, fulfils document requests and triggers follow-up tasks consistently.
- Analytics show which services attract interest, where visitors leave enquiry flows and which routes produce useful demand, providing a basis for future improvement.
- Controlled client access and appropriate information handling support continuing customer engagement.
- Security, monitoring and recovery capabilities support customer-data handling and business continuity alongside the visible experience.
Solution
A connected sales, procurement and client-service platform for a specialist construction technology business. The public experience explains CELECT’s offer and helps customers evaluate it. Booking and document-request workflows turn interest into structured interactions. Shared data, CRM connections and automation carry those interactions into the business, while client access, administration and operational controls support the continuing relationship. Together, these capabilities create a coherent path from discovery to engagement and service support, with fewer disconnected steps for customers and staff.

Five capabilities.Built to work together.
We combine websites and digital experience, AI and automation, software and integrations, security, and service improvement to solve business problems end to end, from the websites and user interfaces that people see and use to the systems and workflows that power them.
- What it means
Modern websites and digital experiences that make a business easier to discover, understand, trust, buy from and work with.
What Bionic can doWe design and build modern websites and digital experiences that make businesses easier to discover, understand, trust, buy from and work with, from public websites and customer journeys to portals, interfaces and self-service experiences.
Your problem may sound like this...“Our website needs replacing.”“Our website is terrible.”“Our website doesn't reflect the quality of our business.”“People visit the site, but they don't contact or buy from us.”“Customers can't easily understand what we do.”“The site looks bad on mobile.”“Customers have to call or email us for things they should be able to do online.”“Our digital experience feels old compared with our competitors.”“We need something more than a brochure website.”“Our website and the rest of our business systems don't connect.”Typical capabilitiesWebsitesCustomer journeysPortalsUX/UISelf-serviceMobile experiencesConversionWhat improves as a resultSometimes the website is the problem. Sometimes it is simply the most visible symptom of a deeper problem.
- What it means
AI and automation that reduce repetitive work, make information easier to find and use, and let routine processes run with less manual intervention.
What Bionic can doWe use AI and automation to reduce repetitive work, make information easier to find and use, improve customer and employee experiences, and help routine business processes happen with less manual intervention. That can range from a simple automated workflow to intelligent assistants, AI agents and more sophisticated systems with human oversight built in.
Your problem may sound like this...“I spend too much time doing the same things over and over.”“Can AI actually help my business?”“We keep answering the same customer questions.”“Someone has to manually follow up every enquiry.”“We're constantly copying information from one place to another.”“We have a lot of information, but nobody can find what they need quickly.”“Too much of the business depends on me personally.”“I want customers to get help even when nobody is available.”“My team is spending time on admin that shouldn't require a person.”“We've experimented with AI, but we don't know how to make it genuinely useful.”“We want to automate more, but some decisions still need a human involved.”Typical capabilitiesAI assistantsAutomated follow-upCustomer supportDocument handlingKnowledge searchRepetitive tasksAgentsOrchestrationRAGHuman-in-the-loopEvaluationIntelligent workflowsWhat improves as a resultHelp me spend less time doing things that software could do for me.
For a larger organization, the exact same capability can mean intelligent workflows, governed AI, agentic systems, decision support and enterprise automation.
- What it means
Software built when the tools a business has cannot do what it needs, and integrations that make the tools it already has work as one.
What Bionic can doWe design and build software when the tools a business already has cannot do what it needs. We also connect existing platforms so information can move between them without unnecessary re-entry, disconnected processes or manual work. That can mean a small internal tool, a customer portal, a complete application, or the integrations that make several existing systems work as one.
Your problem may sound like this...“There isn't an app that does exactly what we need.”“We're running too much of the business from spreadsheets.”“Our systems don't talk to each other.”“I have to enter the same information in several places.”“Our website doesn't connect properly with our CRM.”“Customers need somewhere they can log in and manage things themselves.”“We need a dashboard so we can actually see what is happening.”“We have several tools, but the process between them is still manual.”“We've outgrown the software we're using.”“We have an idea for an application but don't know how to turn it into something real.”“Our staff have created workarounds because the existing system doesn't fit the business.”Typical capabilitiesCustom appsPortalsDashboardsBusiness toolsAPIsCRM connectionsPayment integrationsSystem connectionsWhat improves as a resultIf the tool you need doesn't exist, we can build it. If the tools you already have don't work together, we can connect them.
- What it means
Understanding and reducing technology risk, protecting customer and company information, and meeting the privacy, governance and compliance obligations that apply.
What Bionic can doWe help businesses understand and reduce technology risk, protect customer and company information, strengthen the security of websites and systems, and meet appropriate privacy, governance and compliance obligations. Security is also built into the products and systems we design rather than treated as something added at the end.
Your problem may sound like this...“Is my website secure?”“Is customer information protected?”“Could we get hacked?”“Are we handling data properly?”“Are we complying with what we're supposed to comply with?”“Who can actually access this information?”“What happens if one of our accounts is compromised?”“Are the tools we're connecting creating new security risks?”“We're introducing AI: what controls should we have around it?”“A customer is asking us questions about our security and we don't know how to answer them.”“We need to improve our security, but don't know where the biggest risks actually are.”“We have policies, but we're not sure whether what happens in practice matches them.”Typical capabilitiesGRCISO 27001NISTWebsite securityData protectionPrivacySecure architectureAccess controlsRisk assessmentsComplianceAI governanceWhat improves as a resultSecurity isn't something we bolt on at the end. It runs through everything we build.
- What it means
Looking at how work actually moves through the business, from a customer's request to the delivered service, and removing the effort, delay and handoffs in the way.
What Bionic can doWe look at how work actually moves through the business, from the moment a customer asks for something to the point where the service is delivered, and identify where unnecessary effort, delay, manual handoffs or poor technology are getting in the way. We then redesign the process and, where useful, support it with better digital experiences, automation, software and integrations.
Your problem may sound like this...“Customers wait too long.”“We're doing too much manually.”“Everything comes through WhatsApp.”“I keep copying things between systems.”“Customers have to call us for everything.”“My staff waste too much time doing this.”“Nobody really knows where something is once it enters the process.”“We keep losing enquiries or forgetting to follow up.”“Customers have to repeat the same information several times.”“Different people handle the same task differently.”“We've added technology, but the process still feels broken.”“The business has grown, but the way we operate hasn't.”“Too many things depend on one person knowing what to do next.”Typical capabilitiesBusiness processesCustomer service journeysSchedulingWorkflow improvementSelf-serviceHandoffsOperational automationService managementWhat improves as a resultMake the business easier to run and easier to do business with.
The problem doesn’t care which discipline it belongs to.
Real business problems rarely fit neatly into one category. A poor website may also involve a broken customer journey, missing automation and disconnected systems. A slow service may need a better interface, software integration and AI-assisted workflows. A new application may require security, privacy and operational changes alongside the engineering.
Bionic combines the capabilities the problem requires rather than forcing the problem into a predefined service.
Tell us, or let us discover, what isn't working. We'll combine what is necessary to solve it.
We work backwards from traditional consulting.
Everything before this point happens before we’ve ever spoken.
Bionic finds a company, studies its customers, services, digital experience and operating model, forms a point of view, imagines where technology can improve things, builds something tangible, and only then approaches the organization.
We identify businesses where the customer experience, technology or operating model appears capable of meaningful improvement.
We examine the business from the outside in: its website, digital experience, services, customer journeys, technology footprint and operating model.
We identify visible friction and trace it backwards.
We design a better future state across both the customer experience and the systems supporting it.
We make that future tangible through a prototype, redesigned digital experience, working application, automation or integrated system.
Only then do we introduce ourselves and show the organization what we found and what could be different.
The part your customers touch and the part that makes it work are one system. We design and build on both sides of the line.
Usually we find you.But sometimes you find us first.
If something in your business isn’t working as well as it should, or you suspect there may be a better way...tell us about it. It could be your website, a manual process, disconnected software, an AI opportunity, a security concern, or something you just can’t put your finger on...but you feel it can be better.
